Scope of this Policy
This Website Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains how Identifee, Inc. ("Identifee," "we," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit identifee.com (the "Site").
This Policy applies only to the Site. If you are a customer of Identifee, the handling of data inside the Identifee Platform is governed by a separate Data Processing Addendum and your signed Master Service Agreement, which take precedence over this Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information through the Site:
- Information you provide. Name, work email, company, role, and any message you submit through forms (for example, the "Request a demo" contact form).
- Information collected automatically. Standard log and analytics data — IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP. This is gathered via cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and requests submitted through the Site.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.
- Measure usage and traffic patterns to inform product and marketing decisions.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and Tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure performance, and understand how the Site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features of the Site may not function without them.
We honor "Do Not Track" signals by limiting analytics collection where technically feasible.
Sharing of Information
We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Site (hosting, analytics, email delivery), under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Identifee, our customers, or the public.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.
Data Retention
We retain Site information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Inquiry submissions are retained for up to 24 months unless we are actively engaged with you.
Your Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of that information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us through the contact form. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Visitors
Identifee is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
